Mother's Whisper

When Freud speaks of killing the father
Is there not another voice, long suppressed?
The voice that dares to ask about killing the mother?

There lies an original fullness, a pleasure without lack, without borders, without speech.

The mother is not merely prohibited—
She is rendered ungrievable, unspeakable, erased as origin.

Again and again, we construct figures of heroic authority.
When the mother dies, the authority of the man withers.

Eroticism and mercy echo in the dark.

Through surrender, the divine emerges.

In the extremes of desire, the self is sacrificed—only to return to chastity.

We are all held in suspension by history.
